How tortured is your poets department feeling today? There's certainly a lot to unpack there (in more ways than one), but, as the old adage goes, variety is the spice of life — and it's extra picante with this week's round-up of the best new Canadian music.

DEBBY FRIDAY returns and gets us all "To the Dancefloor," and Snotty Nose Rez Kids are the patron saints of braids on "BBE." Meanwhile, KALLITECHNIS is thriving on lonely nights, and Alice Glass covers Smashing Pumpkins.

It's an incredibly stacked week in album releases, with new records from Blunt Chunks (The Butterfly Myth), Cadence Weapon (ROLLERCOASTER), BIG|BRAVE (A Chaos of Flowers), Mawzy (Long View), Tei Shi, Alix Fernz and Michael Feuerstack.

Elsewhere, Geoffroy, ASKO, Islands, Little Junior and Julian Taylor are among the next to birth new LPs into the world, having announced their latest projects this week. Backxwash, Sunnsetter and Dan Mangan all return with eagerly anticipated fresh tracks, while Hua Li 化力 remixes Land of Talk. There's also new music from Verttigo, B00sted, Population II and more.

Our expansive library is at your fingertips with The Eh! List, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
