We're certainly not low on anarchy these days, so it's fitting that the Sex Pistols — Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, featuring frontman Frank Carter — have announced their first North American tour in two decades (sans Johnny Rotten). The fall trek will bring them to Canada for a couple of gigs in Montreal and Toronto.
"I think everybody needs this band right now. I think the world needs this band right now," Carter said in an interview with the Associated Press. "And I think definitely America is screaming out for a band like the Sex Pistols."
Things kick off on September 16 in Dallas, TX. Before the end of the month, the Sex Pistols will venture to Canadian turf to play Montreal's MTELUS on September 30, ahead of an October 1 performance at Toronto's History. The remainder of the dates will then be completed stateside, wrapping up in Los Angeles, CA, on October 16.
Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday (April 4) at 10 a.m. local time, with presales getting underway in various markets starting April 1. Sign up for access here, and find the full itinerary below — as well as more upcoming shows via Exclaim!'s Canadian concert listings.
