Grimes appears to be teasing a new track seemingly titled "A New Way to Die."
The Canadian-born producer and musician wiped her Instagram page clean this morning, and it is currently only populated with what looks like single artwork and the caption: "A New Way to Die! 2 days."
Presumably, she's letting us know that a track — possibly called "A New Way to Die" — will arrive on Thursday (September 5), which contrasts previous reports that a single would be landing on September 13.
Based on the accompanying artwork, the song could be a blend of fantasy fiction and black metal, but we'll just have to wait to find out.
Grimes has been teasing a new album called Miss_Anthropocene, which she previously described as "a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate Change: A psychedelic, space-dwelling demon/ beauty-Queen who relishes the end of the world."
Previously shared single "We Appreciate Power" is expected to appear on the LP. Grimes has also hinted at tracks titled "Shall I Compare Thee," "So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth" and "My Name Is Dark."
There's still no firm release date for the record, though it's predicted to land later this year. It will mark the follow-up to 2015's Art Angels.
