It's been a big few days in rap beef. Unless you've been logged out all weekend, you must be somewhat aware that Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj's bubbling feud finally exploded, resulting in two diss tracks, a Twitter X rampage and, of course, some doxxing.
Rumours that Megan and Minaj may be on less than friendly terms emerged last year after a bar in Minaj's "Red Ruby Da Sleaze" certainly sounded like it was making fun of Megan getting shot by Tory Lanez. Megan took her time with responding, dropping "HISS" on Friday (January 26).

"These hoes don't be mad at Megan / these hoes mad at Megan's Law," Megan rips, referring to the US law that makes information on registered sex offenders available to the public. Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, is on the US sex offender registry after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old in 1995. Her brother, Jelani Maraj, is currently serving 25 years to life in prison, as he was convicted of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl.
Minaj and her Barbz were deeply offended by this, taking to the internet to mobilize. Earlier last week, she repeatedly commented on a TikTok that read out a blind item claiming she has substance use issues, so her team was warmed up for the storm about to ensue.
It started with Minaj liking and reposting Barbz's support and dissing Megan. Then, she penned a winding post that appears to call Megan a "pathological and manipulative liar," claiming that she uses ghostwriters.
From there, Minaj repeatedly posted about Megan, calling her a "disgusting serpent," and reposted tweets claiming she lied about being shot in the foot by Lanez (a charge which Lanez was found guilty of). She also took to Instagram Live to further disparage her: "You bringing up 30-year-old tea cause no man has ever or will ever fucking love you," she said.
The Barbz were also on a mission, and allegedly ended up doxxing TikTok user Bela Delgado and his family for dragging Minaj in defence of Megan, leading to his account getting banned after he begged the stans to leave his family out of it. Phew!
This brings us to today (January 29), where Minaj has followed up her tweets with her own diss track "Big Foot." It repeats the sentiments Minaj has been sharing online: bringing up Megan's dead mother, accusing her of using a ghostwriter and bringing up the Megan's Law line in "HISS" itself: "This little begging whore talking 'bout Megan's Law / For a free beat you could hit Megan raw."
Throughout all of this, Megan has remained mostly silent, only using socials to promote "HISS" with no mention of Minaj. The closest thing to shade from Thee Stallion's camp was her calling into radio show The Breakfast Club, saying of the track, "Whoever feel it, feel it."
