Taylor Swift takes second place, followed by the Weeknd, Kanye West (big yikes!) and Eminem.
In the songs department, Harry Styles' synthpop jam "As It Was" claimed the throne not only in Canada but globally, with over 1.5 billion streams worldwide. And it's the least y'all could do since people won't stop throwing random shit at this man. "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals came in at No. 2 after already having been on last year's list of the most streamed songs in Canada, with the Kid LAROI's collaboration with Justin Bieber also making a repeat appearance alongside Elton John's "Cold Heart - PNAU Remix" with Dua Lipa and "First Class" by Jack Harlow.
As for albums, you once again yeeted Styles to the top of the list with Harry's House. Ed Sheeran equated something for you, with = equaling No. 2, while buddy Swift's Midnights managed to snag No. 3 despite only having been released six weeks ago. The Weeknd's DAWN FM — one of Exclaim!'s 50 best albums of 2022 — followed, as did Olivia Rodrigo's 2021 debut SOUR (it remains brutal out here!).
