It's comeback season for well-loved actor Keanu Reeves's music career. After some teasing, Dogstar — the grunge band Reeves joined on bass in 1994 — have officially released their first new music since their 2000 album, Happy Ending.

New single "Everything Turns Around" follows the band's announcement of their reunion (they had broken up back in 2002) in May, and their first live performance in two decades at Napa's BottleRock Festival last month. Dogstar also performed a headlining set at the Roxy in Los Angeles last night (July 18).

UPDATE (7/19, 10:20 a.m. ET): The band have confirmed the release of a new full-length album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, due October 6.

"When creating this record, we were so excited about the idea of playing it live," Dogstar explained [via Consequence], and have thus also plotted a slew of tour dates across North America and Japan — including a Canadian stop at Lee's Palace in Toronto on December 9. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (July 21) at 10 a.m. local, and you can see the full itinerary below.

The track arrives via Dillon Street Records, and comes alongside early-Instagram, quintessential-California cover art that reads, "Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees."

While Reeves is a noted Alvvays fan, the single certainly sounds a lot more throwback-y than anything you'd find on Blue Rev. However, there are glimmers of some of the elements the actor/bassist has talked about his appreciation for in that band present on "Everything Turns Around," a fuzzed-out power pop '90s time capsule.

Listen to the song below.

Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees:

1. Blonde
2. How the Story Ends
3. Everything Turns Around
4. Overhang
5. Dillon Street
6. Lily
7. Lust
8. Glimmer
9. Sunrise
10. Sleep
11. Upside
12. Breach
