Self-proclaimed "decent guy" Drizzy is just coming off of a four-night stint at Brooklyn, NY's Barclays Center as part of his Wintour-wisecracking It's All a Blur North American tour with 21 Savage. On one of those nights (July 20), the rapper had to dodge not another cellphone, but a vape pen someone threw onto the stage.
"Did you throw a vape over here? Come on," Drake addressed the crowd, assessing the projectile that had landed near his feet. "Hey… who threw this? Who threw the vape?"
"There's no way you're taking life serious if you think I'm gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the fucking Barclays Center," he continued, clearly unimpressed. "You got some real life evaluating to do, throwing this fucking lemon mint vape up here, thinking I'm about to vape with you at the Barclays."
The Barclays Center went on to post a (slightly-censored) video of the incident on their Instagram page, captioned, "Reminder: you cannot vape at the Barclays Center." Drake knows the rules.
Pro tip for the vape thrower: even if he's not a fan of vaping, the rapper would probably agree to get stoned acoustic-style — or at least he would have, had you peer-pressured him right before his Degrassi audition. Timing is everything.
