Drake Is Using a Gnarly Anna Wintour Visual on Tour After That 'Vogue' Lawsuit

Sounds like a fair trade to him

BY Megan LaPierrePublished Jul 17, 2023

Remember when Drake and 21 Savage were promoting Her Loss and either wanted to make a point about media literacy or get a boatload of reposts but actually ended up being sued over their fake Vogue cover?

Although the lawsuit was reportedly settled for an undisclosed amount back in February, we know Drake isn't one to resist an opportunity to be petty — and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour is his latest target.

All anyone can talk about when it comes to the rappers' It's All a Blur tour are the visuals, man. (And that hotline fling.) Not only does Drake perform while sitting next to a fake Aubrey Holograham, but there's a moment in the set during "Jimmy Cooks" where a grisly portrayal of Wintour narrows her eyes and laughs demonically at the audience.

The graphic's rather uncreative rendering of the fashion maven makes her look like a witch, with an over-emphasized pointy nose and sharp teeth. No wonder those "randomly angry" poets didn't find much profundity in Drizzy's "petty abstractions." Perhaps he'll have better luck with some future verses — or, more accurately, bars — casting him and 21 locked up as Hansel and Gretel.

Although neither rapper has commented publicly on the artwork, Drake shared a photo of Wintour's evil likeness to his Instagram Story with the caption, "Dialed In" [via Stereogum].

Watch a clip of the visual that will surely get the 6ix God banned from the Met Gala below.
