Drake Pays Tribute to Fallen Friend Anthony "Fif" Soares with New Tattoo

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 19, 2017

Drake has made a habit of literally wearing his heart on his sleeve, honouring loved ones with permanent ink on his arms. He's previously paid homage to VIPs Lil Wayne and Rihanna, and now the Toronto rapper has immortalized his fallen friend Fif.

As previously reported, Anthony "Fif" Soares was fatally shot in the early hours of September 13 at a high-rise in Toronto's east end. Drake previously commemorated his late friend with an Instagram post, and the same image he shared last week has now been transformed into a tattoo.

Artist Inal Berksekov has shared a photo of his latest Drizzy collaboration, showing off a permanent image of Soares' face on Drake's arm. It's accompanied by the caption: "FOREVER FIF."

UPDATE (9/20, 12 p.m. EDT): Toronto police have now released security camera footage of Anthony Soares' shooting in hopes the public can help detectives identify the two suspects involved in the fatal incident. Police hope that by releasing the footage witnesses will come forward. You can watch the graphic footage over here.
