Change of Heart

"Delivering a Pot"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 11, 2017

Earlier this year, Canadian rockers Change of Heart reissued Smile for the album's 25th anniversary and took the freshly refurbished tunes out on the road. Now, the band are back with a totally new track.

The funk-infused "Delivering a Pot" was originally recorded 25 years ago during the Smile sessions, but didn't make the album because, as Ian Blurton puts it, "it wasn't a very good take." The new version was recorded at ProGold Studios in Toronto, and features Blurton along with bandmates Glenn Milchem, Rob Taylor, Mike Armstrong, Bernard Maiezza, John Borra and Kathryn Rose.

It arrives just ahead of the Ian Blurton-led band's final shows in support of this year's Smile reissue. They'll bring the run of dates to an end on October 20 at the Rivoli in Toronto, performing back-to-back sets at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. with special guests Garbageface joining them on the bill.

For now, though, get your first listen to Change of Heart's ambitious new tune "Delivering a Pot" down below.
