The Strumbellas Postpone Canadian Tour Due to Illness

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Jan 6, 2020

Ahead of trekking across Canada on tour this month, the Strumbellas have postponed their winter run due to a band member's illness.

"A band member has been hospitalized and is underging medical treatment for an illness and we are unable to perform at this time," the group wrote in a statement. "We hope you'll hold on to your tickets as they will be honoured for the rescheduled date. Please stay tuned or contact your point of purchase for any ticket related questions."

The band's "Rattlesnake Canadian Tour" was slated to begin January 9 in Victoria, BC. The itinerary also featured further stops in Southern Ontario and Quebec, along with five Toronto shows in various venues around the city. Halifax's Neon Dreams were set to join the run on select dates.

"We've been looking forward to this tour across Canada for a long time. We know people go to a lot of effort to come see us, and we don't take that for granted," the band's Dave Ritter added. "As a band, we're working on getting back to full strength and focused on getting out on the road to be with you guys as soon as we can."
