Just over two years on from sharing their most recent album, the Armed appear poised to move from ULTRAPOP to Iggy Pop with a new release.
Today, the band shared a shot of a billboard plastered with the proto-punk icon in various poses, complete with their own logo in the bottom left-hand corner and some immensely illegible writing in the centre, along with the numerical date of June 27.
Pop has previously expressed his admiration for the elusive Detroit hardcore outfit on his BBC Radio 6 Music program Iggy Confidential, sharing how he feels the band are "something amazing." Before posting the teaser billboard, the Armed shared a new band photo for 2023, looking much less elusive.
Earlier this month, it was announced that the Armed would join in Queens of the Stone Age's North American tour.
Pop's own tour commitments will bring him to Ottawa's CityFolk and Victoria's Rifflandia later this year.
