Earlier this month, SZA told Billboard that her long-awaited sophomore album SOS would be released in December but that she was "currently stressed" about meeting that deadline.
It seems like that stress might've eased slightly, as SZA took to Twitter today to share what appears to be the album artwork for S.O.S. The image features SZA sitting on a very long diving board over open water, dressed in Timberlands and a jersey that reads "SOS" and "SZA."
Yesterday, SZA tweeted, "the things I'm about to do I don't regret."
In the Billboard feature released earlier this month, SOS was described as "the most captivating music she has ever made, her beloved lo-fi beats sharing space with surf rock within the same track, a grunge record and an acoustic guitar-driven ballad coexisting without either sounding out of place."
In late October, SZA dropped "Shirt," the most recent in a slow drip of singles that began way back in 2020 with "Hit Different" and "Good Days." Last year, she released "I Hate U," and earlier this month she shared a teaser for "PSA," though it's unclear which of these songs — if any — will be featured on SOS.
