Montreal-based singer-songwriter Patrick Watson has just shared a music video for his track "Ode to Vivian (Rework)" off his acclaimed 2022 album Better in the Shade, in addition to announcing a handful of live dates in Toronto and Montreal for 2024.
The music video for "Ode to Vivian (Rework)" feels like a gentle daydream; shot on analogue film, the video is warm and textured, and was inspired by dance performances Watson had done last year, he shared in a press statement.
"Inspired by the incredible dance performances we did together last year, we made this video in collaboration with Yoann Bourgeois. We had so much fun that we thought it would be a great idea to make a video," said Watson.
The musician will be finishing off the year with a handful of US shows, as well as making an appearance at Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand. He has also plotted five live dates in Montreal in early 2024. Watson will also be playing a handful of live dates with the Orchestre FILMharmonique, starting in Toronto on November 2, 2024, followed by three shows in Montreal. Tickets are available online.
