Exclaim! New Faves alum Fernie has announced his upcoming seven-track EP, previewed today by new single "Bones & All."

Hopeless Dreams — a prequel collection described as the A-side to the 2021 Aurora EP's B-side — is due February 14 via Secret City Records. It features Fernie's most recent single, the Patrick Watson-produced track "Pain."

"These are my stories, our stories," the Montreal-based Brazilian-Canadian R&B balladeer said of the EP in a press release, adding that "there's no holding back" in the brutally honest project.

Of atmospheric new single "Bones & All," he explained, "The song generalizes the horrors of being in an abusive environment. Do we truly know the deep psychological impact we place upon younger generations? If I had to explain this song in one sentence, it would be, 'Listen to your kids.'"

The Azar Yazbek-directed "Bones & All" video premieres at noon ET via YouTube below, where you'll also find the EP tracklist details.

Hopeless Dreams:

1. Hopeless Dreams
2. Valhalla
3. Pain
4. Open Season
5. Bones & All
