On her doctor's recommendation, Ms. Lauryn Hill has been forced to postpone her Fugees co-headlining The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill anniversary tour stop in Philadelphia scheduled for tonight (October 23) at Wells Fargo Arena.

Hill shared the news in a statement posted to social media last night (October 22), writing, "It is with disappointment that I am writing this note to you. On the advice of my physicians, I have no choice but to postpone the show tomorrow."

She explained, "I need to rest my voice to prevent any more serious strain or damage to my vocal cords," providing no further information on a diagnosis or prognosis.

"The start of this tour has been incredible," Hill added. "What an amazing experience to celebrate this anniversary with all of my family, my friends and all of you. I look forward to giving you the show you deserve with a fully recovered and healthy voice."

The Philadelphia gig will now take place on November 25, with Hill slated to resume the tour at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on Thursday (October 26). "Toronto, I'll see you next," the artist wrote. "Resting for a few days then heading your way."
