Kesha's latest single arrives today alongside a self-shot music video. The song — which features the musical accompaniment of Sturgill Simpson and Brian Wilson — is called "Resentment," and it appears on her forthcoming new record High Road.
The video shows Kesha aimlessly wandering around a hotel room grappling her inner demons while her musical guests offer their voices from beyond.
Speaking about working with her big-name guests, the pop star had nothing but words of admiration for both Simpson and Wilson:
Brian Wilson is one of my personal musical heroes, so when he said he would collaborate with me on the recording… that moment was one of the most exciting in my career. Then add in Sturgill who I respect and admire so much, as well as my close friend the insanely talented songwriter Wrabel, and this record felt more like a dream than just another song to me.
"Resentment" follows the release of "Raising Hell," which arrived back in October and features Big Freedia.
High Road — which is also set to feature collaborations from Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and fun. vocalist Nate Ruess — is due January 10 via Kemosabe/RCA.
