Sam Beam — the storied songwriter behind Iron & Wine — has announced the forthcoming publication of a book called Love and Some Verses, collecting lyrics, photos, art and ephemera from over two decades of recording and touring.
Taking its title from the 2004 Our Endless Numbered Days song, the coffee book compiles lyrics from more than 160 Iron & Wine songs with Beam's commentary and personal photography, as well as never-before-seen artwork, set lists and more. It's being published on October 15 by Weldon Owen, an imprint of Insight Editions.
Love and Some Verses is being billed as a must-have collector's item for fans of Beam, capturing his distinct musical legacy. "Whether you're a devoted fan or a newcomer to the spellbinding world of Iron & Wine, within these pages you will form an intimate connection to the songs that have touched millions around the world," the description from distributor Simon & Schuster reads.
Iron & Wine's latest album is this spring's Light Verse, which featured a duet with Fiona Apple.
