Los Angeles-based independent label Hit the North Records has released the compilation Love Los Angeles: A Charity Compilation in Aid of the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires Benefiting the Mutual Aid LA Network. In collaboration with artist friends of the label, 100 percent of the proceeds from the compilation will be going to Mutual Aid LA Network (MALAN) to provide relief for those affected by the 2025 California wildfires.

This 87-track compilation includes B-sides, covers, demos, remixes and more. Contributions to Love in Los Angeles include Toronto's own Ducks Ltd. on the track "Always There," as well as songs from Cold Gawd, the Album Leaf, Mutual Benefit, Gustaf, Shannon Lay, Infinity Knives and more. It is shared in a release that whether they're from LA or not, all the artists featured on the compilation have ties to the city through friends, family, collaborations or stories and experiences.

Founder of Hit the North Records Tom Churchill shared in a release, "Los Angeles has given Hit the North Records a lot since the label's inception here in August 2022. I am not someone from L.A., nor from the US, yet as a city, it has offered me and the label an abundance; access to venues, record stores, local artists, communities, promoters and so much more."

He continued, "On December 10, 2024, Hit the North Records released Hit the North Pole: A Festive Charity Compilation for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund raising just over $1,000 (so far) and frankly, I didn't intend to help put together another compilation until later this year with the aim of making it an annual event. With the ongoing disaster, however, it feels important to do this much sooner, this time in aid of the city that has offered me so much."

Love Los Angeles is only available as a digital download on Bandcamp. You can purchase the compilation here.

Love in Los Angeles's cover artwork was designed by SoCal designer Adam Sabolick, and features a fireman in the L.A. Dodgers' colours.
