After production on the CW's Riverdale was halted over the summer due to coronavirus restrictions, the show is finally set to return for Season 5. New episodes will begin on January 20, and today, the network has shared the first glimpse of what's to come.
Alongside the Season 5 announcement, the CW has shared a teaser clip showing even more spicy teen drama than ever before.
The trailer sees the return of Archie (KJ Apa), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) as they near the end of high school and continue to unravel the series' latest murder mystery.
We also learn that Veronica has found out about the affair between her best friend and boyfriend, as a teary Mendes declares that "something happened between Betty and Archie" in the trailer. The drama!
Despite a shortened fourth season, it appears the series is picking up right where it left off back in May.
