'The Suicide Squad' Is Premiering at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival

As we edge towards the release of The Suicide Squad, it's now been announced that James Gunn's latest blockbuster will make its world premiere at Montreal's Fantasia International Film Festival.

On August 4, the movie will screen at Montreal's Imperial Theatre. It will be an in-person screening and open to the public. The special event also comes as the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary.

As previously reported, Gunn's upcoming film acts as a "soft reboot" of the 2016 film and will features a truly massive cast. This includes Idris Elba (Bloodsport), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Sylvester Stallone (King Shark), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Pete Davidson (Blackguard), John Cena (Peacemaker), Peter Capaldi (The Thinker), Sean Gunn (Weasel), Michael Rooker (Savant), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher 2), David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Mayling Ng (Mongal) and Flula Borg (Javelin).

The Suicide Squad will get its wide debut on August 6, when it will also arrive on HBO Max.
