Could Housewife appear in an upcoming superhero blockbuster? In a surprising twist, it turns out that James Gunn — director of the Guardians of the Galaxy series and the current co-CEO of DC Studios — is a fan of the Toronto indie act.
Gunn shared a list of his favourite 25 songs of the year. The Spotify playlist includes some of 2023's most notable breakthrough stars, like boygenius and Noah Kahan, as well as critically acclaimed faves like 100 gecs and Remi Wolf. But there are also a few obscure tunes — notably including Housewife's single "Fuck Around Phase."
