Over the weekend, Avril Lavignedefinitely not a clone named Melissa — brought her 2024 Greatest Hits Tour to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. She had a special guest on hand to make an appearance during the concert: none other than her ex-husband, Sum 41's Deryck Whibley.

The pair reunited on stage to perform the band's 2001 hit (notably heard ad nauseam in my household via the soundtrack for the 2003 family comedy Cheaper by the Dozen), "In Too Deep," from their debut album All Killer No Filler. Lavigne welcomed him warmly and they exchanged an amicable hug before diving into the song.

An Avril fanpage kindly posted the whole performance on TikTok for your enjoyment, so you can check that out below.

Sum 41 just released their final double album, Heaven :x: Hell, back in March, and are currently amid a worldwide farewell tour that wraps up with a Canadian leg in January 2025. Whibley — who recently announced a memoir — and Lavigne got married in 2006, then divorced in 2010.
