Vince Staples has returned with his first solo single since 2019, as well as officially annoucned his new album will arrive early next month. You can hear new arrival "LAW OF AVERAGES" alongside a video below.
Produced by Kenny Beats, "LAW OF AVERAGES" follows Staples' 2019 single "Hell Bound" and arrives ahead of a new self-titled album from the Long Beach MC. While few details about the record have been revealed, it is coming fast and will arrive on July 9 via Blacksmith Recordings/Motown.
Staples shared the following on the forthcoming Vince Staples LP:
It really gives much more information about me that wasn't out there before. That's why I went with that title. I feel like I've been trying to tell the same story. As you go on in life, your point of view changes. This is another take on myself that I might not have had before.
In April, Staples revealed that the self-titled disc would arrive this summer, and would be followed by another LP titled Ramona Park Broke My Heart.
The Vince Staples album will mark his first project since FM!, which Exclaim! named one of the Top 10 Hip-Hop Albums of 2019.
That same year, Staples inked a new record deal with Motown Records via Blacksmith Recordings. FM! completed a three-album deal the artist had previously signed with Def Jam, through which he released 2015 full-length debut Summertime '06 and 2017's Big Fish Theory.
