Volume One is still considered to be one of the best trad-ska compilations around and Volume Two has picked up where the other left off without missing a beat. The folks at Stubborn have picked the cream of the crop with the likes of Dr. Ring Ding, See Spot and Go Jimmie Go contributing some admirable tunes. The biggest surprise of the disc has to go out to Justin Dillavou of the Skoidats. "Demons" is so catchy, rootsy and smooth you could listen to just that one song all day until your dancing feet give out. Canada’s Gangster Politics provide a more modern ska-jazz number and Chris Murray hooks up with Da Whole Thing on a more eerie sounding number with some horns blasts that I don’t particularly appreciate. Packed to the max with 73 minutes of ska, this compilation is a welcome addition to any collection and well worth the extra work it may take to find.
