Sum 41 have followed the handful of artists who've cancelled their upcoming shows in Ukraine and Russia, calling off their June tour stops in the warring countries.

The band shared the following statement on their official Instagram page:

In light of the tragic recent events, and in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, we must cancel our upcoming shows in Ukraine and Russia. Over the course of our career we have been fortunate to play for so many incredible people across both nations and our hearts are with all of those hoping for peace in these difficult times. We are saddened by the horror being committed by Russian leadership and feel there is no other course of action for us to take, we must stand with those we support.

They closed the statement by writing, "We love our Ukrainian and Russian fans! We want to see peace prevail and hope to return in the future."

Sum 41 are set to begin touring at the end of April. Their last album was 2019's Order in Decline, though the band's Deryck Whibley shared "Ruin My Life," a hatchet-burying collaboration with Simple Plan, last month.
