Canadian power-pop royalty Sloan have certainly kept busy despite playing their "last show" some 25 years ago. Instead, the band have just released their first new music since 2018's 12 in the form of a brand new single.
Is it possible to be subtly politically charged? If so, that's certainly the vibe of the new tune. It's called "Silence Trumps Lies," which is a clear play on words. That said, the word "trump" really only has one association at this point.
As for the music, it's another classic Sloan tune with plenty of harmonies, vintage instrumentation and percussion.
