Just ahead of the Shilohs' upcoming North American tour with the Fresh & Onlys, the Vancouver popsmiths are relaxing with wildlife in their video for their self-titled sophomore set's "Student of Nature."
Scored by jangled six-strings and a lightly shuffled beat, the video takes on a vintage, damaged-VHS approach as band members stroll through garden spaces and fields. Singer Johnny Payne takes an eyeful of colourful plumage while sitting with some fancy birds, while drummer Ben Frey manages to play frisbee with an arsenal of Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb LPs. Apparently the dude doesn't feel, ahem, Guilty about junking the records.
The Shilohs' tour starts July 10 and will hit up Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal by the end of the month. You'll find all the show info here.
