After playing one final show as the Pinc Lincolns last month, founding member Daniel Colussi has laid the moniker to rest. Now, he's shared the first single from his new project Fortunato Durutti Marinetti.
Formerly of the Shilohs, Colussi has come together with vocalist Sydney Hermant (Hello Blue Roses) and guitarist Nic Bragg (Destroyer, the Countless Jibes) to share "Feeling of Desire," which you can hear in the player below.
Set to open a forthcoming debut album from Fortunato Durutti Marinetti, "Feeling of Desire" is described by Colussi as something of a manifesto for the forthcoming effort, exploring the nature of desire before moving "deeper inward into territories of greater intimacy."
Musically, a repetitive, minimal guitar crunch is soon heavily layered to create "conditions for an experience that is at least vaguely transcendent."
"Feeling of Desire" was recorded and mixed in early 2019 at Vancouver's JCDC and Jay Arner Studios, respectively.
