Following two festival seasons of shaky restrictions and multiple cancellations, Ontario's Boots and Hearts is ready to make its return in 2022. Today, the Oro-Medonte event has announced its headliner — the incomparable Shania Twain — who will take to the Burl's Creek stage when the boots touch down from August 5 to 7.
In addition to the Canadian country legend's presence, the festival has been rounded out by co-headliners Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia Line, along with Lindsay Ell, Robyn Ottolini, Russell Dickerson, Meghan Patrick, Dustin Lynch and Mackenzie Porter.
For her part, Twain also announced her appearance via her social channels, posting a video of her performing "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" and replacing "Let's go girls" with "Let's go Boots and Hearts" — what a jokester!
"For many of our fans and fellow artists, Shania Twain has had a big impact on what we know and love about country music," said Brooke Dunford, the director of booking for Republic Live. "It was important to us to celebrate her success as a female in country music and beyond, with incredible female talent that is both making waves across the border and within Canada."
Twain's August 7 appearance will also feature a lineup of all-Canadian female performers. So far, the rest of the lineup remains under wraps.
Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday (November 26), with presales kicking off on November 24 at 10 a.m. ET.
