Saskatchewan's Megan Nash has announced their sophomore album Soft Focus Futures, out November 3 on Acronym Records.

Along with the announcement, Nash has also shared the video for new single "Chew Quietly / Clean Slate," which originally premiered as part of a fundraiser for Moose Jaw Pride. The Amy Mantyka-directed video finds Nash dancing alone through the streets and was choreographed by Misty Wensel.

According to Nash, the shape-shifting, driving single — which is credited to Megan Nash and the Best of Intentions — is about "anxiety and hope and dating after a divorce and just wanting things to work out this time."

Nash continued: "It's about longing for intimacy and stability. It's about that twist in the gut when you see your crush. It's about feeling unbelievably awkward. It's about trying again."

Like its lead single, Soft Focus Futures was partly inspired by the collapse of Nash's marriage, and features contributions from musicians Dana Rempel, Darnell Stewart, Tanner Wilhelm Hale, Brady Frank, Dalton Lam, Digawolf, Stacy Tinant, Jenna Nash, Logan Amon and Nash's dog Shiloh.

Nash's last album was their JUNO-nominated debut, 2017's Seeker
