Marlaena Moore Plots Canadian Tour, Shares New Song

Ahead of releasing new album Pay Attention, Be Amazed! later this month, Marlaena Moore has shared a video for new single "I Miss You" along with Canadian tour dates in support of the effort.

Directed by Dylan Rhys Howard, the clip finds Moore breaking into song and dance during a photoshoot, a premise inspired by her own love of musical theatre.

"As long as the idea of having my own music video has been a thing, all I've wanted to do is- dance," Moore explained in a statement. "I am obsessed with MGM musicals, Judy Garland, classic Hollywood in general. I wanted to do my own musical number to capture the all consuming yearning of missing someone so desperately that it completely takes hold of you."

Director Howard added, "(Marlaena) was an ideal collaborator on this. Beyond workshopping the dance with our choreographer, Niuboi, Marlaena developed this whole jaded rock star character to embody…I think the fierceness that she brings to these child-like dance moves creates a contrast that's incredible to watch."

Later this month, Moore will begin a trek from the Western provinces to Central Canada, ahead of playing Germany's C/O Pop Festival. You can find her complete Canadian itinerary below.

Pay Attention, Be Amazed!, Moore's third album, is set to arrive March 27.
