Jessica Mitchell is a country singer-songwriter based in Toronto and Nashville who's toured with Kiefer Sutherland, Terri Clark and Bonnie Raitt, and is now on tour with Johnny Reid. On Heart of Glass, Mitchell uses sentimental and impassioned storytelling to tell her truth with producers Blake Bollinger, Ben Stennis and Karen Kosowski, and songwriters Deric Ruttan and Victoria Banks.

Her self-penned single, "Workin' on Whiskey," grieves over a broken heart, while "Don't Love Me" reflects the same disposition. The low pass filter on the drum pattern to "Don't Love Me" amplifies her sincerity and authenticity. She assembles a gorgeously placed gospel choir harmony on "Rain for the River" and builds theatrical and cinematic moments with the emotionally charged warning to a future lover, "Somebody Gonna Get Hurt."

Heart of Glass is powerfully earnest. The soul ventures on a journey that rejuvenates and restores it's faith in the uncertainty of love.
