The team behind RBC Ottawa Bluesfest have announced plans for an in-person edition of Festival of Small Halls, happening across multiple Ontario venues next month.

The month-long event will see performances by Ben Caplan, Devin Cuddy, Great Lake Swimmers, Hannah Georgas, Hawksley Workman, Jessica Mitchell, Johnny Shay, Kelly Prescott, NQ Arbuckle, the Abrams, Theo Tams, Tim Baker, Tom Wilson and Wild Rivers.

Kicking off on October 9 with Hawksley Workman performing alongside Johnny Shay in Almonte, ON, all performances will be limited to a maximum of 50 audience members, in keeping with COVID-19 safety regulations. Shows will also take place in Seely's Bay, Manotick and Brockville.

"With F.O.S.H., the original notion was to provide folks in rural areas an opportunity to enjoy the kind of music that's usually offered in a bigger city, but in their own unique venues," festival executive director Mark Monahan said in a statement.

"The growing support we've received from so many communities in recent years has been amazing — the way folks welcome the visiting artists is heartwarming — and you can see it means a lot to the musicians, too," he added. "For 2020, we feel we've taken it to the next level, with an outstanding lineup, while keeping safety measures foremost in mind."

Tickets for this year's edition are on sale now through F.O.S.H.'s website.
