She didn't give any explanation for the change, leading fans to believe that she made the switch to avoid competing for release day supremacy with Adele.

There have been rumours of a new Adele album for a few years now, and radio host Mauler added fuel to the fire this week in a since-deleted tweet saying, "New Adele. This week."
There's no concrete information beyond that, and absolutely nothing from Adele herself, though a series of billboards reading "30" have appeared that have fans speculating that the new album is on its way soon.
Back in 2019, she joked in an Instagram post, "30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you." She was obviously kidding about the style of music, but seems entirely likely that the next album really will be called 30 — even though she previously told Beats1's Zane Lowe that 25 would be "my last age one."
