Este, Alana and Danielle won over critics and the mainstream alike with their debut Days Are Gone back in 2013, and the sisterly trio of HAIM have now offered an update on their sophomore set.
Back in the summer, we reported that the band had been writing on tour and had plans to hit the studio for record number two. Alana promised that the next album wouldn't "come in six years," but rather that fans could expect it "very soon."
Well, details on the new material are still pretty vague, but earlier today (January 20) Este tweeted a photo confirming that the band is back in the studio — with Ariel Rechtshaid behind the controls.
The producer worked on the band's debut, and has also done work with Vampire Weekend and pop giants like Beyoncé, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
Stay tuned for details on the highly anticipated follow-up LP. While we wait, revisit Days Are Gone gem "The Wire" below.
