Between his recent breakup and arrest earlier this year, things have been more Damned than Beautiful for G-Eazy as of late. And the hits have kept coming with news that the rapper was reportedly denied entry into Canada ahead of a headlining show.

TMZ reports that the rapper was turned away at the Canadian border yesterday (July 9) hours ahead of performing at Calgary's Cowboys Music Festival, an event coinciding with the Calgary Stampede.

It's currently unclear why G-Eazy was turned away, though his recent arrest for assault and cocaine possession could be a potential factor. There was no word on whether or not he tried to use a copy of XXL as I.D. at the gate.

Cowboys Music Festival issued a statement to festivalgoers. It read, "G-Eazy is unable to perform tonight due to reasons beyond our control. Refunds will be processed at the online point of purchase (Showpass)."

Needless to say, the rapper's Calgary contingent of fans wasn't too happy to hear the news. As Twitter user @jortsftw tweeted, those in attendance reportedly started a "fuck G-Eazy" chant upon learning of the cancellation.
