"We look forward to seeing you all as soon as it is safe to do so"

The irony of Foo Fighters cancelling their "Van Tour" in a world where your ticket to large live music events is vehicle ownership is not lost on us, but that's exactly what has happened with Dave Grohl and co.'s plans to redo their first-ever tour.

Today, the band announced the cancellation of all "Van Tour" dates, including a single Canadian stop at Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre. As they outlined in sharing the news, all ticketholders will be automatically refunded and can find further information through their point of purchase.

Foo Fighters had initially mapped out the "Van Tour" in February before rescheduling the dates in late March. The band wrote in canceling the trek, "We look forward to seeing you all as soon as it is safe to do so."

Perhaps listeners can find comfort in the fact that Grohl wants live music back just as bad as they do, and that a new Foo Fighters album may be right around the corner.
