Last year, Donald Glover and Rihanna were rumoured to be shooting a film titled Guava Island in Cuba, with Glover sharing a trailer during his PHAROS festival in New Zealand last November. Now, the project is being advertised on Spotify.
Users of the streaming service have been sharing screen captures of the ads, which you can find below. Soundtracked by Glover singing, the ads point to "Saturday Night | April 13," which coincides with Glover's headlining performance at Coachella as Childish Gambino. Spotify's popular Rap Caviar playlist also features "presented by Guava Island" branding.
Fan-shot footage of the Guava Island trailer last November saw the project billed as "A Childish Gambino Film," while also revealing that the film stars Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.
The project also involves director Hiro Murai, who collaborated with Glover on his Atlanta series and his video for last year's single "This Is America."
