CupcakKe is back with a brand new single titled "Lawd Jesus."
The song is full of the colourful language and themes fans have come to expect from the outspoken rapper. Between talking about eating ass and making money, "Lawd Jesus" also sees CupcakKe tackling her recent mental health struggles, rapping at one point, "I had to fight all my demons, that shit was real challenging."
Previously, the rapper had announced that she would be retiring from music during a distressing Instagram live story. At the time, she told her fans that she would be quitting music and removing all of her previously released material from all streaming platforms.
"Recently, the past night, and today, I just been sporadic," she told her fans last year. "It's because I wanted to get as much attention as possible to let y'all know that I will no longer be doing music. And all of my music will be coming off every platform. I decided to give up. I decided to give up. I don't want to say give up, let go music because I feel as though I'm corrupting the youth."
Shortly afterwards, CupcakKe revealed that she signed an "$8 million deal," possibly signalling her eventual return.
The rapper released a handful of singles last year before announcing her retirement, including "Whoregasm" and "Ayesha."
