Grammy-nominated rapper/singer-songwriter Chika is celebrating her 24th birthday with the release of a shiny new cover of Billie Eilish's 2020 single "my future" for Spotify.
"I picked 'my future' by Billie Eilish as my [Best New Artist] cover for Spotify because the song is beautiful and presents an interesting opportunity to talk about where I am as an artist, especially on the heels of this nomination," Chika said in a statement.
"My present is moving so fast that each passing moment is practically the future already. And I'm in love with the ride I'm on," she added.
Chika is nominated in the Best New Artist category of the 2021 Grammy Awards. This year's ceremony, which had previously been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, also saw nominations for Phoebe Bridgers, Kaytranada, Doja Cat and more in the same category.
The Grammy Awards take place this Sunday (March 14).
The artist's latest album was 2020's Industry Games.
