Showing 2021 will be much like 2020, the Grammy Awards are being postponed.
The 63rd Grammy Awards were set to be broadcast on CBS January 31, but as both Rolling Stone and Variety report, sources have confirmed the show will now be delayed until March. So far, though, the exact date has not been revealed.
Of course, the reason is due to the ongoing pandemic and increasing COVID-19 numbers. The Grammys typically have an IRL audience of 18,000-plus people, and with the way things are, a gathering like that seems more than a little impossible right now. And even with safety guidelines, the awards show was apparently too risky right now for organizers.
The Grammys are set to be hosted by Trevor Noah — when the awards gala actually happens. You can revisit all the nominees over here.
