The Acorn

'Vieux Loup: Tequila Sunset' (Part 1)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 14, 2015

Ottawa indie-folk unit the Acorn returned this spring with their latest record Vieux Loup, and now a new video series is giving fans some extra insight into the material.

The up close and intimate series finds songwriter Rolf Klausener on a rather picturesque abandoned train bridge at sunset, discussing the origins, inspirations and meanings behind the music. He's even got some tequila to help keep the conversation flowing.

The first round of clips offers up an introduction to the album and hears Klausener opening up about the first two tracks on the record, "Rapids" and "Palm Springs."

Two more three-part playlists will round out the series, but for now, Exclaim! has got your first look at the inaugural videos. Give them a watch in the playlist below.

Vieux Loup is out now on Paper Bag Records.
