The HBO series adaptation of Stephen King's bestselling novel The Outsider is making its way to television early next year. The show's premiere date has officially been set for January 12 with debut back-to-back episodes airing that same night.
The 10-episode series follows the investigation of the brutal murder of an 11-year-old boy in Georgia, and the unorthodox methods of detectives who are assigned to the case.
Episode one director Jason Bateman will appear in The Outsider alongside Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, Bill Camp, Mare Winningham, Paddy Considine, Julianne Nicholson, Yul Vázquez, Jeremy Bobb and Marc Menchaca.
So far, it's unclear if the series will run past its scheduled 10 episodes into a second season. You'll just have to watch to find out.
