Just yesterday, we learned that the 33rd edition of Toronto's annual Canadian Music Week would include a keynote talk with director Spike Lee. Today, the remainder of the fest's film programming has been announced.
In total, CMW runs from May 1 to 10, but its film contingent is limited to May 8 and 9. The programming is geared toward music-related documentaries.
These include the DJ-related film I Am What I Play, the Thor tribute I Am Thor, the WFMU radio exploration Sex and Broadcasting, the Japanese country music flick Made in Japan, the street musician exposé Lowdown Tracks and Salad Days, a new documentary exploring '80s hardcore punk from Washington, DC.
These selections join Spike Lee's keynote talk on May 9 and the special screening of Do the Right Thing on May 10.
Tickets for CMW are available here, while the rest of the fest's lineup is available here.
