Yeah, it's already January, but some people are still getting around to posting their recommendations from 2023. And by some people, we mean Wilco.

The all-American band have shared their annual selection of recommendations from last year — but, since they're willing to risk things, they've included a couple of Canadian albums on the list.

"Another great year for music," Jeff Tweedy and co. remarked on social media, it being lost on no one that the band also released their own Cate LeBon-produced Cousin in 2023. They provided a list of their "top album recs," as well as a handy Spotify playlist with songs from each.

Among those listed alongside the likes of Lana Del Rey's Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd and Sleaford Mods' UK Grim are Beverly Glenn-Copeland's The Ones Ahead and Fortunato Durutti Marinetti's Eight Waves in Search of an Ocean.

The former was New Brunswick-based Glenn-Copeland's first album in 20 years, with the latter being the third record from the project of Toronto-based singer-songwriter Dan Colussi. Both notably draw inspiration from the natural world and, in turn, grief.
