It's a Cruel Country, Cousin — but at least we have the Wilco font.
You can now make even the worst headlines look a little better with the band's own typeface, Wilco Loft Sans. It's described as an "all-caps, high contrast sans serif," inspired by the "GUITAR" sign at their Chicago recording studio, the Loft. Sans serifs are among the most accessible and readable fonts, so good on them for that.
Wilco teamed up with SimpleBits to create the Wilco Loft Sans, and it comes in four weights: Treble, Midrange, Low End and Bass. You can purchase a license to use it on desktop and/or web here.

In conjunction with the release of the typeface, Jeff Tweedy appeared on last night's (November 7) episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss his new book, World Within a Song: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music, where he infamously recounts miraculously recovering from poor taste and coming around on ABBA's "Dancing Queen." (I would embed the clip here, but the Late Night team do not make their uploads available in Canada for some reason.)
