Its almost unfortunate that So-Cals Stick to Your Guns have such a riveting live performance, mainly because their albums tend to pale in comparison, just as Comes from the Heart does. Although none of the ten tracks are particularly memorable, theyre not overtly boring either, and show the bands potential. What is missing is the spark of energy that a band of this magnitude needs to maintain both on stage and off, not part-time but full-time. Perhaps their next album will better encompass this essential quality and generate more interest.
