"Pretty Boy Swag" rapper Soulja Boy is facing drug charges after being picked up by Georgia law enforcement officers earlier this morning (October 18). The hip-hop artist, born DeAndre Cortez Way, and four other men were stopped over a traffic violation in Temple, GA before a search revealed the crew were carrying drugs.
Temple Police Chief Tim Shaw told the Associated Press that cops found a stash of marijuana and some guns in the Cadillac Escalade the men had rented, though it's unclear at present whether or not the firearms were properly licensed.
For the time being, Soulja Boy is being held in Carrol County Jail under the felony charge of marijuana possession. He is being held without bond and will appear before a judge this afternoon. An investigation into the situation is underway.
