Canadian punks SNFU are gearing up to share some previously unreleased songs from the vault in the form of a new EP.

The forthcoming A Blessing but with It a Curse will collect five songs recorded during sessions for 2004's In the Meantime and in Between Time. A release date for the EP has yet to be revealed.

News of the EP was shared on Instagram by founding guitarist Marc Belke, who revealed the effort's Marc Bell-illustrated artwork seen above. In the Meantime and in Between Time, which saw release through Belke's Rake Records imprint, also marked his last with the band.

Fellow Canadians Propagandhi also shared in the excitement, revealing that A Blessing but with It a Curse will feature added guitars from frontman Chris Hannah and vocal contributions from the whole band. They wrote, "We are honoured to be a part of it and the songs are killer! What more could a few prairie punks ask for in life?"

You can find the pair of teaser posts below.

SNFU's founding frontman Chi Pig passed away last July at the age of 57. Current members of the band shared song "Cement Mixer" following his death, while fans in Vancouver honoured the late artist with a mural.
